19th Century Games involving ECC Members
Some older games including: the first recorded game of Donaldson - the leading Edinburgh player in the London match, an entertaining Evans Gambit involving Dr J Fraser against his namesake from Dundee, with annotations by Howard Staunton, a game played by David Forsyth, who gave his name to Forsyth Notation, in a simultaneous display against the famous English master Blackburne, who finishes the game in fine style, and the only loss suffered by Teichmann on his visit to the club.
Latest additions are 4 games played by Harrwitz when he visited the club in 1849 and 1850 - all are blindfold games against two members consulting.
