Chess history buffs may notice some differences in this latest version of the club's list of senior council members and medalists. The original records were based on various framed lists hanging in the club, but it has been discovered that some of those are quite incorrect. Our thanks to chess historian Alan McGowan for his excellent research on this, aided by the recollections on more recent anomalies of various club members and assorted old AGM minutes. While there are a few references, indicated with brackets and question marks, that are still in doubt this latest list is a much more accurate reflection of the true record.
Ironically it is now the recent past that is proving most probematic in tracking down; if anyone has any records from the early years of the 21st century we'd be glad to hear from you.
